A beautiful calm day

While waiting for my brother here in Pangaimotu we're enjoying our time. Today I spent a ling time up in the mast to fix a ground problem with the antenna cable. We found the problem, why we had current on the hull and I isolated the antenna. Now everything is good and we can listen to the super cool oldies radio station with good quality... After that I took my kajak and went ashore, walked around the island and went for a snorkel at the wreck.

Here are some pix of today starting with the Sunrise at Pangaimotu island (Big Mama)

Storm is over

Just about an hour ago it went from blowing and no sight to beautiful turquoise waters. Oh I love this first moment when blue sky and sun come out on a peaceful sea after a storm. It makes you heart fly away.
That led me to creating a new dinner dish, which we loved. Buckwheat & raw vegetable patties (Pflanzerl) (with fresh herbs, spices and garlic/red wine mustard in them). Served with a white base gravy with raw veggies (the same as in the patties) & mustard & papaya jam in it. Oh my god so good

Work in progress

Piano pulled out and set up, ready for composing...

Breakfast with love

What more do you need? Fresh fruit and home (boat) made bread and jam.
Welcome to Tonga.

Minerva part 1

On a calm day at low tide you can actually see parts of the reef. This is where at night in low tide Marcus pulled out the lobster we had. So good on the BBQ.
Last picture: when there is too much wind out and high waves break over the reef it is impossible to get onto the reef even on the "quiet" inside. There is a tremenduous current ending in this waterfall.

Minerva 3

On the reef again on a calm day and our construction for shading Charlies control unit against the sun. I couldn't resist but draw something that I then laminated and the cut to the pieces for the construction. Works well.

Minerva part 2

On a low tide with high seas outside the reef. Almost impossible to be on the reef, let alone any structure being visible..
And another lobster feed with a 1.8kg Lobster...
